In January of 2016 Boeing spun off a wholly owned subsidiary called Boeing Intelligence & Analytics. My role in this new organization has remained that of a UI\/UX Design Leader.<\/p>\n

Notable projects I’ve worked on while at BI&A include the following<\/p>\n

BI&A SharePoint Intranet 12\/2016 – 1\/2017<\/h3>\n

Role: Team Lead and SharePoint Developer
\nProject Description: Take over an existing but under utilized SharePoint installation and design it to be a usable central source of information sharing for an organization of over 500 employees. The site must be appealing to the eye and meet the communications needs of the organization.
\nSkills Utilized: I lead a small team, unfamiliar with SharePoint, through the process of getting understanding basic SharePoint concepts and developing new features for the site. Utilizing Agile methodologies and pair programming, the team and I were able to re-architect the site so that it more closely resembled the structure of our organization, develop custom functionality by adding our own javascript, and enhanced the overall aesthetic through image design, HTML, and CSS.<\/p>\n

Enterprise Alert Service 10\/2015 – 12\/2016<\/h3>\n

<\/a>Role: Design Lead and UI Developer
\nProject Description: Working within the Intelligence Community\u2019s effort to consolidate their data into a single cloud repository, our task was to develop a clean and simple tool that could retrieve data in a straightforward way while still exposing powerful search refinement capabilities. Users can save searches that yield valuable results and set them to alert when new information comes in matching that search.
\nSkills Utilized: I worked within an Agile team of developers, taking the lead in matters of user experience design, UI design, and UI development. The project required my being able to develop within a Rails application, using Mustache, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I conducted user tests and lead the team in resolving the resultant issues. We used GIT for source control and Jasmine for our test platform.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
