At this point, I was tasked with creating a UXD team. The team had a similar set of responsibilities to those I handled on my own at Skarven but now we could do quite a bit more. Each team member working directly on agile development teams to do UI design, CBT, and other documentation tasks. I encouraged a balance between working with the development teams and working as a team of design specialists to get the best designs possible. The team was never very large, six at most, but the work we produced was remarkable.<\/p>\n<p>Below are some of the design projects produced by this extraordinary team.<\/p>\n<h3>A major UI re-design<\/h3>\n<p>Certainly the highlight of my time as a team lead. Several new features, workflow improvements, and aesthetic revisions were added to the 7.6 version of TAC. My UXD team provided&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thomlee.site.aplus.net\/thomlee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/poster_forreview.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-261\" src=\"http:\/\/thomlee.site.aplus.net\/thomlee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/poster_forreview-200x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thomlee.site.aplus.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/poster_forreview-200x300.png 200w, http:\/\/thomlee.site.aplus.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/poster_forreview-682x1024.png 682w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>User testing to determine the most critical needs, successes and failures all along the way.<\/li>\n<li>Design sessions open to all stakeholders in the various projects that lead to designs that the customer representatives liked, the engineers were confident they could develop, and the executives felt they could sell.<\/li>\n<li>Design implementation by pairing with developers to ensure that iteration in the development cycle always improved the plan.<\/li>\n<li>More user testing to gather feedback on the results of the release.<\/li>\n<li>Promotional materials including the poster to the left and the video below which were created entirely in-house to get analysts excited about the launch of the new capability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <video width=\"640\" height=\"360\" controls><source src=\"http:\/\/thomlee.site.aplus.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/TACplus_web.mp4\" type=\"video\/mp4\">Your browser does not support the video tag.<\/video> <\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>The TAC Help Center Design<\/h3>\n<p>My team and I designed the TAC Help Center. The help center consisted of<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A reference guide<\/li>\n<li>A How To section<\/li>\n<li>A guide to Pattern Specification Language<\/li>\n<li>An FAQ section<\/li>\n<li>A glossary<\/li>\n<li>A PDF for a printed Quick Reference Guide<\/li>\n<li>Computer based training with exams<\/li>\n<li>An Introduction to Analysis Course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/waterfrontartists.com\/thomlee\/Boeing\/tac-help\/\">Click here<\/a> to check it out.<\/p>\n<h3>TAC Computer Based Training<\/h3>\n<p>A particular source of pride is the computer based training modules created and maintained by my UXD team.
